The Shannon Story: A Note from the President
I started this business in 1987, cutting lawns while still in high school. What began as a part-time job quickly turned into a passion—and helped pay my way through Fairfield University, where I earned a degree in Business Management.
My brother, John, worked with me during those early days while pursuing his Finance degree at Fairfield as well. After graduation, he joined me full-time, and together we built what is now Shannon Lawn & Landscaping. Over the years, we’ve grown from a small lawn maintenance company into a trusted, full-service landscaping and lawn care business.
We’re proud to now operate the company as a family, with my wife Christine, a fellow Fairfield graduate with a degree in Information Technology, who joined us full-time after a successful career at the Nasdaq Stock Market. Our backgrounds complement each other and allow us to offer our customers a well-rounded, professional, and thoughtful experience.
Rooted in Stratford, Connecticut, we remain proud to serve families and businesses throughout Fairfield and New Haven Counties. With the support of our experienced office and sales team, our mission remains the same as it was on day one: to provide reliable, high-quality service with a personal touch, and to bring lasting beauty to the place you call home.
